SO, WHO SHOT THE DEPUTY?

John Taylor - Destined to become Deputy Sherriff
Way back in March, Tameside Council's Deputy Leader, John Taylor described his party’s venture into the Wythenshawe Ward; where they’ circled their political wagons’ in order to get their candidate Michael Kane elected, as a positive sign of them winning the next General Election.

Michael, you may recall was an ‘adviser’ to Tameside council’s leader Kieran Quinn, who'd previously worked for current Stalybridge and Hyde MP Jonathan Reynolds - as well as his predecessor, the  former Minister James Purnell.

You may also recall 'Deputy Taylor' telling us with self-advocating gusto how he and few of his posse had ridden boldly into unknown territory, with himself leading the hastily sworn- in canvassers’, as their Sherriff! Inferring that because of his added support, Michael Kane had walked the election with 13,261 votes, beating UKIP's John Bickley, with 4,301, into second place.

However, the vocal Deputy seems to have been ‘shot in the foot’ as he appears to have been silenced by the recent Rochdale result. Even though he once again headed into ‘unknown territory at the head of his political posse to help Liz McInnes tip the scales at 11,633 votes, they only managed it by a mere 617 votes with the same UKIP candidate John Bickley securing 11,016 votes!

So, no sign of bragging this time! In fact not a political peep from the usually spontaneous councillor spouting his simplistic beliefs. Instead, his letter this week was based on Historic Battles and fictitious TV Programmes of yesteryear!

It just goes to show how desperate these career councillors are to stop any serious debate that focuses on their actual use!

  1. That's because he's only got a thin skin.
"I think Councillor Taylor needs to grow a thicker skin"

  2. Taylor must have informed his ghost writer erroneously as hev named the Tony Curtis film of the 50s "the Black Shield of FARNWORTH "instead of Falworth. Talk about him being a half wit is disrespectful to that ilk!

  4. Labour are bricking it about UKIP.
There are increasing signs that the traditional British working class vote has, at last, woken up and realised that 'New' Labour no longer exists to represent THEM, and that Labour is now the party for, amongst others, more recent incomers to our nation.

  5. Lots of panic in the Tameside Labour camp over UKIP, the back stabbing has already started amongst them, I think 2015 will see the start of the beginning of the end of for Labour in Tameside and about bloody time.

  8. If a few more of the electorate could have been bothered to vote at the recent council elections (average turnout abot a third - pathetic) we'd have now had up to nine UKIP councillors, i.e. strangers and outsiders to the 'way things are done' in Tameside's stitched up, incestuous and stale corridors of power. Disrupting the buddy-buddy 'coziness' between the upper echelons of local power and their 'mates' from other local organisations. The local Labour mafia have taken their position of power for granted for far too long and the pathetic local electorate who can't even be bothered to take an interest let alone get half way informed are to blame.
Locally and nationally there are clear signs that the British people have seen a vision of the reality of THEIR future and it isn't pretty. There's only token BS from the Tories on immigration - they have absolutely no intention of DOING anything about the utter chaos of free access to the dregs of Europe and the hordes of Third Worlders flooding our shores. From Labour - nothing. They won't even give us an in/out referendum on the EU. I have zero respect for them or anyone who votes for such an undemocratic and unpatriotic party.

  15. The three career councillors for Dukinfield sent roy west a solicitors letter back in 2012, John Taylor felt intimidated that people were reading about his villa in Spain and his expenses read the solicitors letter here http://tamesidecitizen.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/dukinfield-councillors-only-like.html

  17. The three Labour Cllrs for Dukinfield are intimidated by the truth, all the information about their money and property is taken from the official council website.

  18. Cllr Taylor's blog carries a laudable item in support of the RBL. Unfortunately it was not proof-read by his usual crew. It reads;-

"lets give them all our support again this year they need the money to support the hero's "

    (Sigh)

  21. Inspector Callaghan came round to my house once with a copy of a leaflet I had posted in Dukinfield.
Inspector Callaghan went through everything in the leaflet saying "he denies this, he denies that"
And at the same time right under Inspector Callaghan's nose, John Taylor is out there posting some of the most vile smear leaflets about me ever posted in a Tameside council election.

  24. Dear Curmudgeon you are probably right, but it's a terrible thing living with the weight of persecution around your neck.

  25. And remember During times of universal deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act.
But for the future, I will bare in mind what you say.

  26. Dear Curmudgeon
You see, that's what persecution does to the human being, it sends you off on a quest to get people to listen. It's not a simple fact of being personally obsessed with matters.
